Walker School staff and students want to thank Mr. Daniel Dancer for his commitment to the environment, creating interactive artwork, and bringing people across the world closer together. We are truly grateful to have worked with you.

Thank you to the Bedford Park Fire Department, Mrs. Taloff and the Bedford Park Community Staff, the Bedford Park Police Department, Steve and CJ from Alpa Construction, and all the community and family support that went into this collaborative project.

Art for the Sky
Tomorrow begins our journey with an amazing artist in residence. Daniel Dancer will be working with Walker Elementary for the next 3 days creating artwork with all students and staff. This special kind of art can be appreciated in all its grandeur from the sky, but the real work is happening on the ground. All students and staff working together to create something bigger than ourselves. That is what we strive to do every day!
The big creation event should begin around 12:30 on Thursday if any parents, family, or community would like to come and watch it unfold.

HMS received information today that required a locker search. A soft lockdown was conducted to keep students out of the hallways while the search was performed. Nothing was found, we determined all students were safe, the lockdown was lifted, and students resumed their day.
Spirit Wear Fridays--Students are invited to wear school spirit shirts & sweatshirts each Friday!
Stop by the office to purchase a grade level shirt for $8. All spirit wear must be school related. More spirit wear options will be coming soon.
We are looking forward to signing up so many 4th Graders for Beginning Band tonight! The open house sign-up runs from 5 pm to 8 pm in the Heritage Middle School Band Room!
Walker School celebrated Patriot Day by showing our appreciation to our local first responders! Thank you to our mayor, fire department, police department, and amazing community of people who support Walker students and staff every day.
