District 104 Takes an Adaptive Pause

Sunday, April 18, 2021

Unfortunately, we are once again experiencing a substantial increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in our community. Today, the  School District 104 Community 14-day positivity rate surpassed 8%.

Following the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and District Online Onsite Learning Plan Guidance  we are  taking an "Adaptive Pause” from Onsite Online Learning.  Effective Monday, April 19th all students will return to 100% remote learning. When the positivity rate once again falls below 8% we will once again provide the Onsite Online Learning Option.

Parent/Student/Community Notification

During the Adaptive Pause District 104  will notify parents via text blast and social media channels each day to let you know whether the following school day will be a "100% remote learning day" or if students will be allowed back on the school campus.   Daily notifications will continue until the 14-day positivity rate falls below 8%.  Typically, the Northwestern Covid-19 Dashboard is updated in the late afternoon, so parents can expect a notification around 5:00 to 5:30 PM.
