Earlier this week District 104 officials were made aware of a national threat to schools posted on TikTok to be carried out on Friday, December 17th. The district 104 School Resource Officer has been in contact with state and federal law enforcement, and it was determined that the threat is not credible, however, local law enforcement and building staff will remain on high alert to make sure our school campuses are operating safely.
Please take this opportunity to talk with your student about the seriousness and resulting consequences of making any kind of threat, and about the appropriate use of social media, and encourage your students to speak with you, an adult at school, and the SRO if they see or hear something, so that immediate action can be taken.

This week's Spotlight of the Week is Mrs. Angela Lopez, Mrs. Maria Bello, and Mrs. Susana Marquez. They were nominated by Walsh!
Last week Alexa was the first to get her twist down - which is an advanced stunt. Twisting down requires great mental composure, strong bases, and faith that your team will be there to catch you in your blind dismount. Alexa is cheerleader of the week not because she was the first to get this skill, but rather because the week before she set a goal to get it by the end of the week. She persevered through numerous falls and tumbles, but she did not give up. She had a goal, faced adversity, and achieved what she set out to do. Way to go Alexa!
