Cross Country Conference Meet - 10/17/2023
Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity took home first-place trophies. Girls JV and Boys JV took home second-place trophies respectfully.
Girls' Varsity overall Champion is Gianna Araujo-Dominguez. Anabell Dubon placed second.
The Boys Varsity second-place finisher was Andrew Castillo. Joaquin Fortiz placed third.
We are very proud of all the athletes and their hard work throughout the cross-country season!
Oct. 15 - 21 is National Principal Appreciation Week. We want to say thank you to all our amazing Principals and Assistant Principals at SD104. Your hard work and dedication shines bright in our schools and throughout the district. Thank you!

At Wednesday's board meeting, the SD104 Board of Education recognized HMS graduates Julissa Madera, Sumayah Hazeen, and Julian Marquez who were recipients of the National Hispanic Recognition Award from the College Board. Congratulations to these SD104 Alumni!

After studying immigration through Ellis Island, Ms. Puhr, Mrs. Foltz, and Ms. Zipprich’s class ran a simulation of the immigrant experience. Students pretended to be immigrants in the 1890s going through Ellis Island. Students took on the pretend roles of European immigrants, underwent a ‘6-second physical’, were asked 29 questions in the legal inspection, and had to pass a mental health examination. Characters who passed the tests were welcomed to America with the Statue of Liberty.
